We dropped off two cars off to thier lot in Seminole, FL.to be shipped to MA. We were not given a date but we told them several times that we needed the cars as soon as possible. We told them we were flyimg to out destination in MA. so we would have to get a rental, and to avoid a huge rental bill, we needed the cars in approx. a week or so. About a week later, we checked the tracking online to see where our cars were. To our surprise, they had not even left the lot in Florida! The website state the estimated arrival was the 18th of April. We called to complain and there was basically nothing anyone could do, even after we spoke with a supervisor. So we had to wait to the 18th. Well, the 18th came and our cars were still at the lot in Florida. Again we called, and were told that now they would not be delivered till the 23rd. We complained about the cost of the rental, and they said all they could do was reimburse us $50.00, which was unacceptable. On the 22nd, we checked online again. Our cars had still not moved off the lot in Florida. We called again to complian and got nowhere. We told them we were going to report our cars stolen if we did not get them by the next day. That did no good. We were then promised they would be in MA. on the 27th. We again asked about being compensated for the rental and again we got nowhere. On the 27th, the supervisor gave us a call to say our cars would arrive on the 28th, which they did. When they arrived, they were in dispicable condition. They were completely filthy, covered in mud, dirt, and bugs. There was loose change in the ashtrays of both cars and they were both cleaned out. On the back seat of one of the cars, the leather seats were filthy, and the inside of the car was spotless when it was dropped off. There was dirt or grime all over the seat and door handle. On the other car, there were grease marks from fingerprints on the visor. We have shipped a car to Florida from MA. using a different carrier before, and it arrived in one week, and in the same condition it was dropped off in. The service we received from DAS was unacceptable. We will never, ever use or refer them for anything. The total cost of renting a car was $692.00. That is approximately the cost of shipping one vehicle. This service was costly enough as is, and they forced us to incur an even bigger charge.
