I shipped two cars with DAS. The first car arrived with no problems. The second car was damaged during transport and I can not get DAS to pay for the claim. I met the driver when my car arrived in CA. He told me to inspect the car. I did and noted damage on the passenger side. He looked at the paper work and said it was already there. He said "It says here on the papers." I said I don't think it was. I took the paper and my car and came home to find my original bill of lading from TX. (origination) To my horror they were different. Not only did they damage my car and lie about it they tampered with the bill of lading thinking I wouldn't notice. I called the claims department and they told me to take pictures and get a quote. I did as I was asked. Note, I only got a quote for the damage they did - not for the scratches that were on the car from before. After a month, DAS told me my claim was denied. I said no - the bill of ladings are different and you damaged my car. A few more weeks passed and the came back and said they would pay half of the quote. At this point I asked to talk to a manager. They said they would have Amanda McCrumb call me. No call, so I called her over 5 times. She finally called me back 5 weeks later. I got her message and called her back 11/4/2010 . Her voice mail said she would be back until January of 2011. That is over 2 months. Are you kidding me? I have since left 3 messages with my original claims manager who has not called me back yet.
