The sales person who set up my car transport with Dependable Auto Shippers told me I could keep my GPS, CDs and umbrella in the car and "it's perfectly fine" to do so and the contents would be covered under the agreement and safe. When my car arrived at the destination, my GPS, CDs and money were gone from inside the car. They even stole the coins in the coin slot under the arm rest. I called to complain and the company told me they weren't responsible for the interior of the car. Obviously this is in direct contrast to what the sales person told me. DAS did nothing and the DAS person on the phone was abrupt with me. I shared my story with some co-wrokers who used DAS in their move and I heard similar stories.
