I'm a huge skeptic but...

I was honesly very impressed with the service. I truly thought i was going to be scammed or get my car back all banged up but that was not the case. I own an infiniti coupe and she is my baby. I love her to death and didn't want to drive her 3k miles from CT to CA so i was looking for a good shipping company. I did a search through ebay...not even sure how that came up, but that's how I found DAS. I got a quote...it was a "decent" rate. I decided to go directly to the DAS website and was able to find a MUCH better rate...nearly $250 less. Now I'm not sure if EBAY had any mandatory additions on their quote but when i called DAS I was greeted by a friendly...honest and knowledgable staff each time. Like i said I'm a skeptic so each time i called i asked the same questions and got the same answers.

...I was still a little scared off by the price. So when asking the rep what the difference in price between DAS and some others they explained that there are only about 3 or 4 actual shipping companies in the US (with their own fleet of vehicles) and of them DAS is the biggest. Most other "companies" are just brokers...for example i could start a company called RALPH-G TRUCKING...and from their i would just place bids out to the 4 major shippers or independant truckers.

Since i'm a skeptic i didn't really believe DAS when they said that this is why so many other horror stories pop up with other shipping companies. Through my research on many sites and blogs i found out they were correct...in many cases the "broker" (since they don't really ship anything) is waiting to have their lowball shipping bid accepted and they don't really care when your car is shipped because you pay up front. This can also be the reason that once you drop your car off it takes so long for it to arrive. Your car may get dumped in a lot somewhere in the middle of your delivery location because a higher bid with a higher priority came on board....leaving you waiting and waiting.

I fully support DAS and don't think i'll ever be moving again...but if i do, i'll definitely be using this service. My car had not a single ounce of damage on it when i received it and the staff even washed it for me when it arrived.

THE ONE THING I WILL RECOMMEND...since my car is black it picks up all kinds of dirt...the car wash was appreciated. had I known they were going to wash the car I would have asked for them to do so AFTER the inspection, because the beaded up water on the car made it VERY difficult to notice any damage that may have taken place. I would ask that the car not be was (at least not until you have been able to do a walk around and inspect the vehicle). Let it be known that my vehicle came through perfectly, not a flaw on it...i did not pay for a top row carrier or an enclosed carrier either...it was a VERY positive experience and i would recommend them to anyone i know. Keep in mind each person's experience may very...but as for my, it was second to none.
