das guaranteed me my truck by jan 12, 09, if i goy it to them by dec 29, 08. i got it to them on den 27, 2008. it has not moved one inch. they had driver who did not know to turn key and push the starter button on the 1951 truck. that is the original start operation on that model year and this was shown to the DAS facility manager. he said he would make sure the picking up driver was informed of this. now they forgot to show the driver and he did not know how to start it and therefore my vehicle had a "key" issue and now the move was interrupted and has to start all over. if you deliver your car to them and it has a low tire they will delay your delivery due to a "tire" issue or if you or them left a light on and the battery ran down it will be delayed due to a "battery" issue or any other item they can come up with to make it your fault that they will not deliver your vehicle on time as promised. that should be obvious if you look at all these same issues in this blog that i have now seen. had i have seen them before DAS would be voided from my computer and i would pay another transport company to deliver my vehicle. their rep, mr torres advised me it would only take 12 days. then, their rep Mia, says add another 12 days. now their rep melinda says we will do everything we can but if you pay another $1500 we can get it to you in 7 days. however, since it was my fault they did not make sure the truck driver knew how to start the vehicle they will try to get it to me in around 2 weeks. make sure you do everything you can to not use das. check with car dealers in your area for a transport recommendation but ask for another one if they do say DAS. all you have to do is read some of these reviews to see not to use DAS. and you have to pay all of them upfront. if they only want partial pay then they are only a broker who keeps that amount they require you to pay upfront and then they have you pay the remainder to the real shipper. look for and use only a shipper, do not use a broker or DAS.
