First the good part. The vehicle (04 BMW) was delivered in a faster time than estimated,although it was sitting at the originating terminal for quite a while. Also the person at the destination terminal was helpful as to the pick up time (this termainal was closed saturdays and only open until 4:30pm weekdays), but I was not really given the time to inspect the vehicle first but was told to sign the bill of lading instead of letting me see the car first. The condition the car was delivered in was really very unacceptable. I know that during transport it can get dirty, but the dirt was not from transporting but from sitting on the dusty gravel parking lot of the destination terminal. An outfit like this, that frequently transports and parks cars there, which some of them are very valuable!!! really should have paved parking lots. The car was parked at the entryway, where all cars and trucks go in and out and covered the car with thick dust and even small gravel rocks!!! It was too dirty to even being able to inspect it right away for scratches or dings and dents that could have resulted from this negligence and that were not there before! The inside was dirty with dirty fingerprints all over the passenger door and even TAR! (or tar like substance) stained on the inside window frame that is finished with a carpet like finish. It is stuck in there and hard to remove and stained it probably indefintely. I know it was clean at drop off at the originating terminal from the pictures I have of the detailed car as it was delivered there. There are some dings/dents in the finish and abrasions on the wheels (expensive BMW M-Wheels!) that also were not there before comparing it to the detailed pictures and the bill of lading detailed inspection!
Unfortunately I found these faults when I washed and detailed it afterwards, couldn't see a lot without washing the dirt away first but by then it was too late to complain about itwhich is really frustrating. I had purchased insurance - this is OPTIONAL with this carrier!!! and costs extra!
I would not recommend this to anybody. The next time I rather fly out where ever I have to pick up the car and get it myself. One just can't entrust this to anybody to handle it the way one would treat their own property, especially expensive cars with delicate finishes. And in this case an enclosed carrier would have not remedied this situation either!
