Good experience . . . but think we got lucky

This is the second time we have used DAS, both were for complete coast-to-coast moves. The first time the car was late by more than a week. DAS did accommodate us by delivering the car directly to our new home, as opposed to the terminal, which was what we had paid for. This time, I was loathe to use them again but we were in a pinch and so bit the bullet. The car sat at the destination terminal for five days, which made me nervous. But once it shipped, it made the trip very quickly and arrived in one piece just 10 days after we originally dropped the car off. Personally, I think we got lucky. Unfortunately, I think that with all these car shippers, you are at their mercy. But I guess in this case, the devil you know is better than the one you don't. So would I use DAS again? Probably. But I'm just hoping not to have to ship a car again at all.
