Well, where do i start with this company and my experience. As to not drag things out, i will condense my review. I have a 2000 Honda Civic Si, modified w/ over $40k of modifications on this vehicle. I requested an enclosed door to door service from this company with a delivery date prior to 10 May2008. Simple requests, one that a company this size should be able to complete. Bernie, my point of contact, then gave me a quote for door to door service, enclosed the entire time, with a delivery date of May 6th. This was after the first attempt i tried to make failed since my car was too low initially and so i cancelled my first order to adjust the cars height. Bernie stated that from the day the car was picked up, it would take an estimated 18 days till delivery, but that they where usually able to get it shipped in less time than this. I said fine and proceeded to pay for this service. My car was picked up on the 18th of April, with a flat bed truck, and towed to their Columbus Terminal. After continous chekcing of their website for my status, it sat in their terminal for 10 days before i started to get worried why the status kept saying at terminal. I began to research this company more and more on this website and realized that this company was not reliable as i was led to belive, my mistake for not doing this prior to requesting their services. To not drag this anymore, i was told a delivery date of 7th of May would be expected and then i found out that 1. My car has been sitting at a towing companys yard for 2 weeks not covered, not being taken care like they quoted and stated,2. I did not pay for a guaranteed delivery date, only for the car to get delivered when they could get it delivered, 3. As i stated my fears for my car sitting outside instead of the enclosed carrier that i requested, they proceeded to tell me as well that they where not held liable for what ever happened to the car while awaiting transport and that i should have stated modified upon pick up to have insuranec cover the car, even thoughi paid extra for insurance!!. I was then told to that all of this was explained to on the terms and conditions email that they sent supposedly sent me which I never received until the day of my complain.
In the end, I had to cancel my order on Friday evening, Schedule another company to come and pick up my car from their lot on a Saturday which by then i have now lost my money for the car show registration, $100 that DAS kept for having my car moved from a secure encosed environment to a towing company's lot for 2 weeks, try and arrange for pick of my car with the towing company that is holding my car which one gentleman was and continues to be extremely rude and unaware of where my car is..... it goes on and on. To add insult to injury, as i tried to contact DAS supervisors, i was told that this would not be able to happen as the customer service department guarded their supervisors like hawks, and when i emailed the name of the supervisors email they gave me, another person responded to my email and began to pretty much turn things around on me and say that it was my fault for this entire situation and that they where charging me for storage fee's for my car sitting there from the $100 that they kept...WOW!!!!
I have been in the military for 10 plus years, 4 moves cross country and overseas included twice, never have had the kind of service that DAS has given me. So please, watch yourself from this company for their lies and lack of customer support, once they take your money, it goes down hill from there.
