I had a really bad experience with this carrier DAS. I called the carried and ask for a price quote for moving my vehicle from Michigan to Texas and was quoted $1024 which was not in my budget range. I did not give them authorization to pick up my vehicle over the phone. They pick-up my vechicle BECAUSE THEY HAD ALL THE LOCATION INFORMATION PROVIDED BY ME without a signed contract, without any money exchanged, without them contacting me before any movement of the vehicle. They pick-up the car and moved it into their wearhouse and still no call from them as to what they did. The seller of the car didnt know what was going on since I told them I had hired a carrier to pick-up the car which was AmeriFriegt. I contacted DAS and ask them why did they pick-up my car without authorization from me. Their only answer was that I said to pick-up the vehicle in conversation on the phone while getting the quote. I had to pay $177 dollars for them to release the car back to the seller in order for the right carrier (AmeriFrieght) could pick it up. My only problem was that I NEVER gave them authorization to pick-up the car, There Never was any money exchanged and NO contract signed for them to act. and They NEVER contacted me about what was going on. In talking with other carriers DAS has a bad name in this business and dont deal correctly with their customers!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will hold your car hostage!! DON NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!UNTIL THEY REFUND MY MONEY, I WILL DO EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO LET CUSTOMERS KNOW ABOUT THIS COMPANY!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
