I requested an enclosed carrier to keep my classic car out of the weather and road grime. They charged me an additional $234 for the enclosed service. Even though they had my car, they made me pay the entire amount up front. If you use this company you will find out that is because you won't be able to get it back when you find out their company is a fraud. After you pay them for the service they will email you a form that says they are not responsible for pretty much anything that happens to your car. In my case is was only a broken antenna; I guess that was my fault.
If you are dumb enough to use this company after reading all of the reviews on this company ( I wish I would have read them first ) do not pay for the enclosed service. When you pay extra for this service you would expect them to carry the car in an enclosed carrier. In my case I was a little suspicious when I realized most people didn't use this service. I figured that they must not have many enclosed carriers to take my car the four different legs of it's trip. I was also suspicious when they tell you not to go to the destination terminal without calling first. Well I was right. I went there before they opened in the morning. When the terminal opened up I told them why I was there. She immediately told me that they did not have time to wash my car and I would have to sign a request for them not to wash it. When I saw my car it was filthy. The car was obviously not transported in an enclosed trailer. I realized that to pull off DAS's scam, the car would need to be washed; then the owner would never know that it was not covered during transport.

I feel that DAS is fully aware that these cars are not going to be covered during transport and figure a car wash at the destination will fool the customer. This is a total fraud when they charge the extra fee knowing that it's not going to be covered. When I called them about it, I was told that it was covered on one of the four legs my car traveled. She would only refund half of my fee since she claimed it was enclose part of the way. If I didn't call the fraud would have suceeded and I would have been ripped off all $234 instead of just $117.

I strongly suggest finding a different company to transport your collector car. This company is truly a fraud.
