Same experience as most people here, but I was smart enough to make changes to their contract before signing it, which gave me a legal way out. Found out some interesting things regarding laws concerning their business and regulatory agecies that govern them. Please go to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to get familiar with the laws that govern these brokers/carriers (http://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/rules-regulations/administration/fmcsr/366.htm)
