I needed to ship my 2001 Ford Escape from my home in San Diego, California to my son's home in Everett, Washington. I went to the Internet and searched on "Shipment of Automobiles" and the response was such a long list I started checking them out one by one. It seems like every one I checked had both good and bad comments but mostly bad. Then I came to Coastal Auto Transport and there were no negative reviews. I called them and talked with Phil White. He explained to me how things worked, what his job entailed, and exactly what I could expect. After a few more interrogations of shipping companies, I decided to go with Coastal. Phil explained that his fee would not be charged until he had secured a carrier for the automobile. He told me the exact day the carrier should call and the day they should pick up the automobile. He explained the shipping transit time would depend, to some degree, on the number of stops they made along the way to pick up other vehicles (the truck carries ten vehicles). The truck showed up exactly when he said it would. His fee was deducted the same day they picked up the car. They delivered when they said they would. There were no damages to the vehicle. There were no hidden charges. Phil White was absolutely professional from beginning to end and I won't hesitate using Coastal again, should the need arise.
