After reading many bad reviews about many transport companies, I was extremely worried about damages, late delivery, etc. I think the hardest part about transporting my baby IS 300 was deciding on a transport company. But once I decided on using Coast to Coast, all was well. I decided to go with Coast to Coast because they own their own trucks and are based in Idaho; I'm in Salt Lake City, UT. There price was reasonable: 1200 from New York to Utah. There were cheaper companies, however I didn't mind paying an extra couple hundreds for peace of mind. I called Monday morning to schedule the pick-up and Chanel (sp?) helped me. I was told the car would be picked up either Thursday or Friday. Sure enough, Thursday morning a tow truck picked it up and took it to Jersey where the driver would pick it up. I was told it was stored indoors for the weekend and it started its journey Monday morning. The time estimate given was 10-14 days. However it turned out that the car came in only 9 days from time of pick up. The driver, Martin, was excellent with communication. He called me two days before to let me know of his arrival. He called me again the night before to give me an approximate time of arrival for the next day. And the morning of, there was an accident on the highway and again, he called to let me know he would be arriving a little late. An hour before arrival, he called again and said he would call when he came (although I was already there to meet him so that was unneccesary). I was worried sick about my car but on the phone he had assured me that everything was ok with my car and that it was kept on the top level where it was very safe.
Bottom Line: Everything went extremely smoothly. All estimates they gave me were very accurate. I called a few times during transport to check on the location of my car and Chanel was very nice to help me. I got my car early, which was a plus. There were no damages to my car (there were a few scratches I wasn't happy about, but I don't think it was the transporter's fault), no oil leaks, no dents. Communication was excellent between me and the driver (Thanks Martin, you were GREAT!) He even knew the SLC area pretty well which was good. I would definitely use this company again in the future.
