Purchased an oversized Dodge military power wagon M37. This truck is wider and taller than normal trucks. Kayla was able to get me transporter willing to pick up the truck on the date I asked for. He wanted a little more than the estimate I was given, so she had to contact me before approving it. I told her to go ahead, but by the time she contacted the transport company, they had already filled the spot. I called back, and Kayla was not there, but Damon called me back almost immediately. We discussed what Cascades broker fee was, and I had him check to see what the last cost was for a vehicle moved to the same general areas. He told me it was $1000.00. I told him to go ahead and list it at $1050.00 above their fee. Kayla had already listed it at $980.00. In less than 24 hours I had a transport driver who would pick up the truck on the day I needed it. The night before the pickup, the seller called me and told me that the rear brake cylinder had gone out, and the truck now had no brakes. I was concerned, because instead of being a running vehicle, I now had one that would not be considered running. Most companies will impose an extra charge of at least $100.00 for loading this type of vehicle. When I spoke to the driver, he said it would not be a problem, and there would be no additional charge. The driver's wife called me the night before delivery was due, and told me her husband would be here the next morning. This morning, I received a call, and the driver was 90 minutes away, and would meet me at the service shop I was having it delivered to. Right on the dot, he was there, and had the truck unloaded, and set up with the shop. The really cool thing was that I had ordered new brake calipers for the truck, and as I was pulling out of the driveway, UPS showed up with the calipers so I could take them with me to see my new baby. This is a 60+ year old truck, that I bought as a project to restore, Cascade and the transport driver took care of it as if it were their own. I have moved several vehicles over the years, and this was by far the smoothest one I have had. All of the folks at Cascade are very willing to help. If one is out of the office, another one will step right in to make sure that the customer, (me), is taken care of. I felt very comfortable talking to any of the customer service reps. because each one was knowledgeable of my situation, and was able to work with me, instead of just taking a message, and having to wait for a call.
Once again, the people at Cascade are honest, knowledgeable, and willing to do what ever it takes to get the vehicle moved. If I ever need to move a vehicle again, I will not bother throwing it out there for bids, I'm going to call Cascade. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a hassle free car move.
