I began my search for an auto transportation company at the end of November. I received quotes from All Coast Transport, Get It Done Transportation, Nationwide Transport Services , Elite Auto Shipper and 7 Star Auto Transport. Prices quoted were from $545 - $850 for an open carrier and $1230 - $1330 for a closed carrier. I chose Cascade Vehicle Shipping because of the National Transportation Safety Board and reviews from customers.
The targeted dates were December 15 - 18, 2012. The car was picked up on December 22. Rebecca kept me informed, always stating that she was still trying to find someone to transport my car. When she found a driver he said he would transport it for $1300 and that he would be going 50 out of his way. Rebecca stated that the price was too high and if I was willing to wait she could find another driver that was not as costly. I told her that I was willing to pay the $1300. She reduced her broker fee because she felt terrible about the whole situation. I thank her for being so thoughtful about the situation.
My car was to be delivered on December 26. The car was finally delivered on January 1.
Rebecca explained to me that something had happened to the driver's truck and there was bad weather. Rebecca gave me the driver's telephone number and I began to communicate directly with him.
All through this process Rebecca or Stephanie explained what was taking place.
