The car arrived 5 days early, even though I have warned them that I will not be there until after 9/4. Luckily, I was able to get to MA early, and thus was able to pick up the car. The driver sounded mad when he first called me, and I told him that I was still in California and would not arrive after 8/28. I would assume this is the car shipping company's fault, though. (The car shipping company is called Skyline, if it matters).

Overall experience is okay. One thing that turned me off was that I have originally requested to start the bid at 900 dollars (rather than their suggested starting bid at 1070), since I was flexible with the shipping date and was not in a hurry to have it shipped. A couple days later, I got a call from Damon, and he said he found a carrier that is willing to take the car for 1135, which was only "65 dollars above the original bid". I was confused and asked him about my requested starting bid of 900 dollars, Damon told me that apparently he "forgot" to put down the 900 dollars as the starting bid. Instead, he put down 1070 as the starting bid. Essentially, I paid 200 dollars more than what most of my friends have paid for the exact same route.

Other than this "miscommunication", or sales tactic, or company policy, or whatever you want to call this, Damon was pretty helpful and constantly called to make sure everything was okay. But, this miscommunication really turned me off though, and I had to question whether or not it is a sales tactic.

DAMON LUCKEY 360-834-7898, damon@cascadevehicleshipping.com. Wen, Thank you for the review. I apologize for not putting your vehicle up on the freight board at the price that we had suggested. It surprises me that your friends were able to get their vehicles shipped for less as the price we got from the carrier was pretty close to what I would have expected and what the going rate is for sedans on this route. as you can clearly see from your quote, the only money that increased was the carriers fee not mine so I am very confused as to why you would think that there is any kind of sales tactic where we try to make you pay more for our benefit. I try to help people save money and cannot control the rate that the carriers ask for. I also pride myself on my ethics, and do everything that I can to get peoples cars shipped so that they are not still waiting after the date they have given me for pickup. Most people who have their vehicles shipped would be in quite a panic if the cars do not get shipped out in time as frequently these people have plans to leave the location soon after pickup. I am sorry that I did not meet your expectations and caused you to question my ethics. As you can see from past reviews, my clients seem to be quite happy with the service that I provide.
