I used Cascade shipping to transport my daughter's car from Florida to Texas after she returned from her deployment in Iraq. I was assigned to Hamal Transport. The pick-up went very smooth. When I called in the late afternoon on the delivery date, however, I was informed that the truck broke down and it would be another 2 days before the car would arrive. I feel that we should have been notified of this issue earlier in the day when the problem was first known- not waiting until I called him. Instead, my daughter and a friend who was her ride to the front gate of the base were tied up all day waiting for no reason. Good communication is essential in any line of work and is just good customer service. The car did arrive 2 days later in good condition with no further problems.

I apologize the carrier did not communicate with you earlier in the day regarding the mechanical issues, most often they are focused on finding a repair shop and parts before they start informing the customers of their delay.
