I didn't have much time to search for a transporter so I randomly chose Cascade for its high rankings on transportreview.com. Their automated online quote was in line with several others I received, but the followup email from Kris was $200 lower. When I emailed him he admitted an inadvertent typo. After he explained the process of posting orders he offered to post the order at a price between the "correct" price and the "typo" and hope that someone would pick it up. I appreciated his honesty right up front (I didn't feel that it was appropriate to push for the erroneous typo price). We got the price we wanted.
Kris also was very helpful in another regard - we were driving the car from NY to CA, then were planning to have it shipped back on the day we were flying back to NY. Logistics seemed a bit daunting as I was planning this while also packing for the cross-country trip. Where to meet the transporter to hand off the car? Who could hand it off for us if the transporter was late and we had to catch our plane? Kris suggestied we arrange to have an oil change done at the nearest Acura dealer then ask them to represent us as our agent to hand off the car. It worked out perfectly. We kept the car until the day we flew, then just handed it off to the dealer and took a cab to the airport.
Kris was also a pleasure to talk to on the phone - shared some cross-country roadtrip discussions.
The transporter took a few days longer than we expected, but that had nothing to do with Cascade. Kris intervened for us when needed.
