The initial set up for the transportation of a F150 truck from Tampa to California went quite well. It wasn't until I tried to contact the actual shipping company (Bullet) that I began to run into problems. The guy I originally spoke with cut me off short on the phone and said that I would receive a call from the driver soon to set up a date and time. I never received that call and also never got to explain that we would have limited employees on a Friday, due to the holiday, and would need advanced warning of arrival to make sure someone was there to assist in getting the truck off. Because of this, a fellow employee received a call on that Friday_ stating that he (driver) would be there in an hour. Not much of a warning! Although everything was ready for the driver when he did arrive later than he had mentioned. We were told that the vehicle would most likely make it within 4-5 days. This was untrue. I actually had to call on the fifth day and attempt to retrieve information on the vehicle, no one answered or would return my call. This is very frustrating when you have a vehicle that belongs to you and you can't get in touch with anyone. After several attempts and taking into consideration that I figured it would take longer than stated, I decided the best thing for me to do was to call Glen @ Car Shippers USA_ the origin. He stated that it would take longer_ which I already knew and understood, but was more frustrated with the fact that I had not received a return phone call from the driver/manager of the company he had set me up with. He had also mentioned that they had us set up for pick a day earlier than what it had been. Glen then tried to call (& fax) someone at Bullet and called me to reassure that as soon as he heard something he would let me know. Much later, as I was leaving for the day, I received that call from Glen stating that the driver had just dropped off the truck about 10 minutes ago. Yipee! No more worries. I would say that I will call Glen again for any transport needs, but will definitely ask more questions about the company he subs to do the work.
