I took care of the job of getting my mother's car from Dallas to S. Carolina when she moved there a few weeks ago after almost 60 years in Dallas. Even though her moving van could have loaded her car onto the truck, she wanted it right away when she arrived ahead of her belongings and plus the moving van wanted a fortune to move it. So I put in a request for a quote on line. The minute I put in the request for a quote, I was bombarded with estimates. I got 9 estimates in one day. Given the number of companies I had to choose from, I had the great luxury of single elimination. If any company had a single bad review in the first 4 pages of reviews, they were out. If they hadn't been on the site for at least 3 years, they were out (apparently if a company racks up too many bad reviews, they just change their name and start over). For me,the cost was secondary to the need for a quality, stress-free move for my mom. The rates came in from $499 to $795. The company I picked was priced nearer the high end. I chose Capitol Auto Transport because they had no bad reviews and not only that, the good reviews they had were really good. Now I know why. Every single detail was taken care of and I was well informed throughout the entire process. I had several calls from Dakota (my contact at Capitol Auto) and from the transport dispatch guy (Victor) just keeping me in the loop. The transport truck showed up exactly on time on both ends and there was no damage to her car. She could not have been happier. And I was happy too. I would definitely use them again if I ever had the need.
