In starting this process several months ahead of the time that I would be needing to transport my car from New York to California, I received 30 to 40 e-mails from agents giving me their price quotes and ready to sign me up. I then started to check them out with "Transport Review" and The Better Business Bureau and I always seemed to find something discouraging, either bad reviews mixed with good or complaints. As I got closer to the transport date I started to check out some of the ones I hadn't yet researched and again, some of the seeming good ones always had something unwanted either in the reviews or BBB. Finally, one stood out- no real bad reviews or complaints- -"Capitol Auto Transport" !
(They had provided a quote months before and their agent Sarah Gomez had spoken to me about the process, not rushing me, but telling me to take my time and research.) I contacted them again immediately and spoke with Andy Kraus, who like Sarah did not rush me, and like her gave me tons of information about the process over the phone and following e-mail. I told him I already did my research and wanted to choose them. The price was fair, $980,and no down payment until they found a carrier- which they did very soon to the two day opening window that I had !
" Wheels On Wheels Carriers" called me as they approached my home and picked up the car 30 minutes later- -the driver was patient, friendly and competent- and 6 days later a smooth delivery was made in California ! As it was my first time transport of a car, I was much relieved that all went so well and am very grateful to Capitol Auto for their help and concern.
