I placed request for transport on auto transport website. I received numerous e-mails and calls, with varying bids. My first time requesting an auto transport - daughter bought my 1-year company car; I thought about personal delivery (gas + flight home) versus transport delivery. Auto Tranport Cordinator (Janet) called and explained the process, and cautioned me to be very cautious. She throughly explained Capitol Auto Transport services and guarantee of a reputable driver & insurance check verification.
After some thought, I notified Auto Transport (Janet & Andy) that I would use their services. My first call was for a driver who would pickup before Thanksgiving break, but for a higher cost. We discussed I decided to wait, because there was no immediate rush. However, my first thought (first time experience) was recalling Janet explaining to be careful and I was wondering if future bids would also be above quote (?).
After Thanksgiving, I received a call on Tuesday after lunch and Janet stated she had a driver that could pickup today, for the agreed cost. The driver contacted me and for mutual convenience we relocated pickup point and time. I would like to recogninze the driver, also; Mark Madaris, Wise Guy Transport for excellent service. He provided business card and company name and DOT info on the side of the truck. Truck & trailer in good shape. I felt comfortable that the car will make it's destination. He said I will deliver Thursday, to be on the safe side. He ended delivering Wednesday night (2am) because another customer demanded deliver.
Bonus part of the story, my daughter hit a deer Tuesday night in her old car and we were extra fortunate to have her new car in route.
