Unfortunately this occurred when gas prices went through the roof. Things absolutley came to a halt. Loads that we were paying $500 for now were costing a $1000.00 and were still sitting on average 2 weeks. This is not how we do business but just like everything else that came to a stop, the trucking industry did as well. Over the past month, things have picked up and on average cars are getting picked up within 1 to 2 days. We are at the transporters mercy and have our hands tied. We always keep in touch with our customers regarding times and dates of delivery and go out of our way to keep in touch with our drivers as to when and if they are on schedule. Like I have stated before, things do happen, trucks to break down and customers are not always where they need to be when the driver is trying to get in touch with them. 9 out of 10 times, cars are picked and delivered as stated to the customers in the contract.
