As others on this site, I also learned the hard way that the cheapest way is not always the best. I moved from Houston TX to Arlington VA and they came to pick up my car, a Honda Civic, a week before I moved. When they arrived, my car was clean (I just had it washed) and I had had some body work done to it, so there were no scratches on it. The driver that came to pick up the car was very professional and courteous.
A few days later, I called to check up on the car and it had not been put on the carrier yet, which was fine. When I got to VA, I called again and they could not give me any information about when to expect my car. At this point, I called the broker and she called Bluebonnet herself. They called me back and I was given the name and number of the driver of the carrier, so I called him directly. He said I would have my car in a few days (at this point, I was going on my 2nd week in VA and had already started my new job). I wasn't familiar with the area, and the driver wanted to meet me off of a highway that I had no way of getting to since I had no transportation. I live right off of a major highway in Virginia, so after a long conversation, the driver agreed to meet me off an access road of the highway near my house. Next thing I knew, I received a phone call from Barbara, the owner of Bluebonnet. I must say that she is the ABSOLUTE RUDEST person I have EVER met or dealt with. She started off yelling that I could have had my car if I had just met the driver where he originally said. When I tried to explain to her that I had no way of getting there, she kept cutting me off and eventually hung up on me. This woman needs to be medicated because she has serious issues. That is NOT how you treat your customers. When I called back, she picked up the phone and hung up without saying anything. I called back again to speak to someone else named Debbie, and Barbara picks up the phone and says "you don't need to speak to anyone else but me". Again, she started yelling. Finally she said that she would have a tow truck bring the car to my apartment. She said she would pay the cost of the tow truck and sarcastically said "because that's what we like to do, eat costs like that". I have NEVER, I repeat NEVER, met such a bitter and rude person in my life. Barbara, if you are reading this, I recommend that you take a vacation.
I called the tow truck directly and within a few days, my car was delivered to me. It was FILTHY. So filthy that I couldn't tell what was dirt and what was damage. When I gave the car the once over, it appeared fine, just dirty. When I brought it home, I discovered a huge scratch near the door with the paint gone.
Overall, I was very disappointed with the level of service I was given from Bluebonnet. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy b/c nobody should have to deal with a witch like Barbara. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I have papers documenting all the dates and communication I've had with them.
