Disappointing

I scheduled my very first transport of a vehicle I purchased through the internet in Houston. The car was to be transported to El Paso. Though the original email sent to me said there was no deposit required, they did ask me to put $90 down since they had dispatched a driver. The car was not picked up the day I had originally requested because the dealership had not received my signed papers before the driver got there for pickup so the dealership did not release the car. That part was not Best Rate Auto Transport's fault. What I was upset about was that the company they used didn't bother to call Best Rate to let them know so that Best Rate could make other arrangements. I'm the one who had to call them (after the weekend I might add since they're not open to take calls) to let them know. This delayed the transport of the vehicle. I'm the one who had to keep calling the company back to find out the status of the transport (with a call from them once). When I asked for money back since a driver had not picked up the car, they told me they would not do it since the order was already put it.

Though this company had the best price, they were not clear about their policies and how the transport worked. Being new to this, I would've like more of an explanation so that I could've made a more informed decision. I did hire a different company and swallowed the loss.
