I'm am glad to hear Mr. Conrad's car was picked up ON THE VERY FIRST AVAILABLE DATE and delivered within the 5 days promised. It is a bit disappointing that he will give US a 3-star rating because the driver didn't call when Mr. Conrad feels they should have called him. We have no control over the drivers phones. We advise all of our customers of the 3-day window we have for pickup. At the same time, we ask all the carriers to give our customers 6 to 24 hours heads up. The windows are set in DAYS and not HOURS, since this industry DOES NOT WORK AS A TAXI SERVICE. It is impossible to predict the many factors that could delay the driver's schedules (traffic, mechanical malfunctions, weather, etc) and that's the reason why NOBODY can guarantee a specific pickup/delivery date. We do our best to accommodate each and every customer's needs, but unfortunately this is not always posible. I am sorry Mr. Conrad feels the need to malign AutoStar's name for aphone call he didn't receive in the A.M. hours. Furthermore, Mr. Conrad found out at noon his car was going to be picked up later on that day. I don't understand how he "wasted the whole day waiting for the call from the driver". Providing he gave us a 1 DAY WINDOW FOR PICKUP, I am convinced the service he received was outstanding and second-to-none.We at AutoStar wish Mr. Conrad all the best.
