First time transporting a car, so I was a bit apprehensive given some of the shadyness that seems to be present in the industry.

I ended up fielding calls from about 25+ different companies, some of which definitely had a bad vibe - pushy / aggressive salesmen, etc.

Talked with Josh Edge at Autostar, and he was helpful, honest, proactive without being pushy. Left a very good impression on me.

The actual trucker was pretty good. vehicle was well secured, guy was friendly, and pretty easy to get a hold of on his cell phone. In addition, the vehicle turned out to be difficult to start, so he had to use his winch to get it on the truck. I hadn't realized this about the vehicle, so had indicated the vehicle was "running". He took this in stride.

The only fly in the ointment was that the final delivery date slipped by two days past the estimated delivery window. For me this wasn't a big deal, but if this is important to you, make sure you communicate the importance of the delivery window both to autostar and the driver.

Autostar's price was a little bit on the high end of the quotes I received, but we reached a compromise that was reasonable for both sides.

I'd recommend Autostar, and will be contacting them the next time I need something shipped.
