We are very sorry for any convenience the additional charges caused, but to be fair, Mrs Dube was warned well in advance that prices could change with the shifting cost of diesel. She placed the order 3 months in advance and was told at that time that prices are subject to change. Unfortunately we cannot control the price of diesel and market fluctuations. We actually covered 75% of the cost increase ourselves to keep the price within her budget, and called her 2 weeks in advance to advise her of the price shift. At that time, we also gave her the option of a full refund if she wanted to go with another company. She said she understood and opted to leave the order in place and pay the $75. We are sorry for the circumstances surrounding Mrs Dube's transport, but at no time was she misled or "caught between a rock and hard place." Two week prior notification is ample time to make other arrangements if she so chose.
