What a great company to work with!

A friend of mine offered me a old 1989 Chevy S10 for free. I decided to take on the challenge and take it off his hands. I had to figure out how to get it to my state. He was located in Santa Cruz California and I was in Glendale Arizona.

I looked around a lot and put my info into some of the "Get seven free quotes" sites, over the next few days I was constantly bombarded with emails, I was glad I decided not to put my phone number in because it wouldn't have stopped ringing! All sorts of companies promised me this or that, and told me they had the best prices and all kinds of nonsense. I had never shipped a vehicle before so this was all overwhelming to me.

I eventually found AutoStar Transport & Logistics on this review site. I checked out their website and liked what I saw, I also liked the reviews for this company, I asked for a quote and noticed it was a little higher than some others I got, but not the highest by far. I contacted some of the cheaper companies and low and behold, that was just a hook to get me to contact them only to find out they wanted several hundreds more. I decided to delete the emails from all these other companies and began to speak regularly through email with George. I liked what he had to say and he was very patient with me and my dozens of questions as well as changing the date twice! Finally I paid my $165 deposit, and filled out the order form. The price did go up $100 than originally quoted due to gas prices, which is understandable.

The driver/company who actually got my vehicle was Bob with RDH Trucking. Feel free to look him up for contact info, he is based out of Oregon House, CA. The driver was Bob, he was an AWESOME guy to work with. He called with any updates there was to report and was friendly. The S10 did have to be towed into town to be picked up in CA because the roads were too tiny to get the transporter into. Within literally 24 hours my vehicle was going to be delivered, Bob called ahead of time and let us know, and pulled right up in front of the house to unload it.

This was an excellent experience in getting this old truck moved. If I ever need a vehicle shipped again, I won't bother contacting anyone and just go straight to AutoStar and request Bob with RDH Trucking if I can!
