After posting an on-line quote request, I was swamped with calls and e-mails from various companies, mostly located in the New York area and Florida. Quotes for transport from Los Angeles to Hoboken, NJ ranged from $790 to approximately $1,000. I utilized this site and numerous conversations with a variety of transport brokerages. Janice with Auto Transport 123 presented the information and answered my questions thoroughly and seemingly honestly. Going with reviews and my intuitions, I went with this company, even though the rate was towards the higher end of all quotes. I'm glad I did: Even though the contact with the carrier was not as smooth as with Janice at Auto Transport 123, they did arrive when agreed by phone, the transporter was very careful and thorough with my car's condition and it's loading onto the transporter, and the driver was reachable by phone to inform me the arrival date. Also, at the destination city, the driver did arrive in Hoboken, rather than a less local meeting site as I had believed. My relative received the vehicle easily and reported the driver was very pleasant and received the cashier's check, with no haggling.
