I wasn't at all familiar with the auto shipping industry until I recently needed to ship a car across the country. I had read enough to be leary of all of them, but based on excellent reviews and BBB rating, I chose Auto Shipping Group. My company contact Felicia Williams was very helpful in educating me on how the industry operates and she allayed my fears about costs. Original quote (not guarantee) for door to door delivery was $1340, and my final cost was $1440.
The first driver who offered to make the delivery wanted to drop it off in a larger city a couple of hours away. Since I needed door to door service, this was not an option. The second driver offered to pick it up next day but wanted $100 more than quoted. In order to avoid waiting any longer I agreed to the additional charge. I probably could have held out for a driver willing to make the delivery at the original quote, but I wanted to ship the car soon and took the offer for the extra fee.
Driver was courteous and efficient, and car was delivered without damage in 4 days (TN to CA). Pickup and delivery times were a couple of hours later than estimated, but this was not an issue for me. Also, the driver couldn't get into my neighborhood with his truck so I met him about a mile away. Again, not a big deal since the car was driveable.
Overall I am very pleased with the service and would use Auto Shipping Group again. I suggest you contact Felicia. She will educate you on the industry, guide you through the entire process, and stay in frequent contact with you via email and phone until the transactions are complete.
