Brokers will quote prices based on their knowledge but the actual price will depend on the supply of independent transporting companies. In my case, Greg explained to me how this works and quotes me an estimate of $450 to transport my car from San Diego to Oakland. In the end, no auto transporter accepted the $450 bid so we upped it to $550. Bingo. The company that accepted picked up the car on time but they arrived one day prior to the agreed date. Thankfully, I had a friend available to pick it up. Again, this was not Greg's fault. My interactions with Greg were friendly, timeline, and courteous.
