On June 26th of 20008 I contacted Auto Shippers America to arrange to have my 2005 Camry shipped from Calif. To Florida. On June 30th I again called them and asked if they could also add my 2003 Harley Davidson Road King, at which they indicated that was no problem.

A few days before the company they had selected was to pick up my vehicles I received a call from Auto Transport America stating that the company they selected wanted $ 50.00 more than was agreed to but due to the fact that I was leaving town in 3 days I reluctantly agreed to the increase

On July 4th at approx 10 AM Auto Performance arrived at my home with a pick up truck towing an auto carrier. The driver stated that he would like me to put the motorcycle onto the truck by pushing it up the ramp designed to load automobiles I informed the driver that I was paying the company to load my vehicles and in no way would I push my Harley up this 20 foot ramp 15 feet off the ground on a 18 inch ramp. The driver stated that he usually had another person to help but not today and suggested I might call another moving company. That was out of the question since I was living town the next day.

The end result was that I had to call two friends of mine to help load the Harley onto the truck.

On Sept 6th 2008 ( 2 months later ) they delivered my Camry with damage to the front and rear bumper and driver side door but no Harley. When I called Auto performance I was informed that the Harley was still in Los Angeles because their truck broke down
But stated that I should have the bike in a week or so, when the bike did not show up I called a gain and was informed that the bike was in Georgia. On Sept 12th I called and was informed that my bike was actually in Los Angeles and had fallen off the truck and was totaled, When I asked when this happened I was informed that it was that morning.

I asked them to send me pictures, which they did but the date on the pics were dated Sept. 5th, 2008, I received my Harley on the 27th of Sept 2008

Lowell ( Owner of Auto Performance ) after being informed by his insurance co the he was responsible to pay his deductible of $ 1000.00 has refused to do so. I called Auto Shippers America and was informed by Andrew that they had called Lowell and he told Andrew that he could not pay. Andrew informed me that there was nothing they could do
to help me.

As of Jan 6th 2009 and after numerous calls Auto performance still refuses to pay

Bottom line is that Auto Shippers of America sent me a transport Co. that was unprofessional, lacked the proper equipment to transport a motorcycle, was in financial difficulty and could not fulfill their financial responsibility

ASA is equally disturbed at the situation Mr. Lorio is in. He has been a gentleman in my phone conversations w/ him regarding this matter and he understands the issue is with the trucker. Per usual, ASA verified the truckers documentation & insurance which was in compliance. We have used this trucker many times and had no cause for concern. I regret the issues Mr. Lorio is having w/ this trucker, I have intervened on his behalf and ASA will certainly never use this trucker again.
