I had a break down while traveling out-of-state. Went online and requested quotes to have the car delivered home becasue the VW dealer in Huntsville's estimate was very high and I knew I could fix it at home, if I could just get it there...
I received 15-20 quotes, begining almost immediately.
I took 24 hours to collect the quotes, and I had (3) that were all the same price, $275. Of the three I did a quick check online and they all had maybe 1-2 reviews that were not great but the rest were good so I rolled the dice on Arsiton Auto Transport and Cisoco, becasue he had been attentive, he called me back on the weekend, and he seemed sincere. This all transpired on Saturday5/10, including giving him all the information and my credit card number.
The car was to be picked up Monday morning and delivered Monday night, 5/12.
The car was not picked up until Tuesday and on this day, Ariston called me and said they made a mistake and the quote was an extra $100, which they finally negotiated back down to an extra $50. I reluctantly agreed to the extra $50, as long as the car came right away now and there were no other surprises, to which I was promised, yeah yeah everything will be fine and it's coming right away.
Long story short, after leaving multiple voice mails that went unanswered, e-mails that went unanswered, and great difficulty reaching a live person at Ariston who would give me an idea of what was happening, the car finally showed up Friday 5/16.
Now the car was late, really late, and so I am already pretty hot about it but then I pay the truck driver and then look at my credit card online. Ariston Auto Transport has just over-charged me, on top of the extra $50 they weaseled out of me with my permission, an extra $100. They were adamant that this could not be so I printed my credit card statement out, scanned it in, and e-mailed it to them. Finally they said ok, we admit we overcharged you. I demanded my credit card be credited back the $100. I even checked into the process of fighting the charges, if it came down to it...
Finally, on Monday5/19, my credit card was credited back the $100.
Cisco, when I could get him nthe phone, sounded sincere from begining to end. He is a good salesman. He may also be a good guy, I can't tell over thephone. What I can say is that Ariston did not pick up or deliver when promised. Ariston was at times, hard to contact a live person. riston over-charged me, and then way over-charged me, but the way over-chargiung was corrected with a lot of effort and fighting with them over it...
God forbid you have a break down on the side of the road and need a transporter, I would highly recommend that you take this review into consideration and make your decision accordingly.
I think you can tell who I would not contact.
