Below is the string of events leading up to us cutting the check to Apple IN HALF due to the incompetence and uncaring attitude of Carrie. Keep in mind that I was FOLLOWING UP FOR MY BOSS! In other words, Carrie made me look like a total a$$ in front of him, and now she knows about it, too! I simply BLASTED the lady in a last-ditch effort to get his car back!:
APPLE AUTO TRANSPORT
LIST OF EVENTS FOR AUTO RETURN
Below is a list of events which took place over a period of approximately 2-3 weeks regarding the transport of your car from Florida. Never have I seen such an uncaring attitude on the part of Carrie at Apple.
• Arrangements made for auto to be picked up on April 4.
• Received call from Linda of T&L transport that there is a problem picking up the car.
• Returned call to Linda, and am told to contact Carrie at Apple.
• Left message for Carrie about picking up car. Callback never received.
• April 8 – Called Apple (Carrie) asking when auto will be delivered. We are told Monday, April 11.
• April 11 – Called Apple (Carrie) asking what time auto will be delivered to home, and I’m told she’s at home and not in the office. However, I am still told it won’t be here until Wednesday, April 13. I am becoming quite frustrated with Carrie, who seems to spout things off the top of her head without checking.
• April 13 – Called Apple (Carrie) asking what time auto will be delivered to home. Again, she is not in the office, but I am told she hasn’t heard from the driver yet (again, I had the feeling she wasn’t checking). We then call Linda at T&L and are told to “talk to Carrie, because the car was never picked up.” (Seems my intuition was correct.)
• April 14 – John Trani calls Carrie. They will pick up the car on Monday, April 18, and it will be delivered by Wednesday, April 20.
• April 18 – Called to see if car was picked up. Will be picked up on Wednesday, April 20 (the day it was supposed to be delivered). New delivery date is Saturday, April 23.
• April 20 – Called Linda at T&L to see if car was picked up—at this point we no longer trust Carrie at Apple. It was and will be delivered Saturday, April 23.
• April 23 – Called Carrie at Apple at 9 a.m., 9:30 a.m., 10 a.m. leaving messages on all phone that we needed to know what time the car will be delivered…and mentioning that it CANNOT be delivered between 2 or 4 p.m. because no one will be there.
• Finally reach Carrie at 11 a.m. who is not only not in the office, but hasn’t bothered to check her voicemails, as she states that car will be delivered at 3 p.m. (the time frame that we could not do). She is told that per the messages left, I said that time is not acceptable.
• Carrie calls back and states that the car will be delivered at 4 p.m. We now need to hire someone to be there (Bill Dow).
• Bill calls frantically at 5:30 p.m. He needs to pick up the Trani’s at the airport, and there is still no car. I call Carrie’s number and get yet another voicemail, and leave a scathing message. We never hear from her from this point on.
• Bill leaves the home for the airport. We have paid him for 1.75 hours @ $35/hour = $61.25 to wait for a car that has never shown itself.
• At 9 p.m. Eastern time, Claudia receives a call from the driver…he is at the home and no one is answering the door. He is told to leave the car in the driveway with the keys on top of the rear tire, as the Trani’s are out to dinner, having heard nothing about a driver showing up at 9 p.m.
• We receive a bill which—amazing—doesn’t reflect any apology or discount for the frustration, aggravation and ineptitude of Apple Transport’s Carrie.
John, given the above, I suggest we never use Apple again, and you heavily discount the invoice.
NEVER USE APPLE TRANSPORT AGAIN! YOU THINK THERE IS THIS WONDERFUL FAMILY-FRIENDLY COMPANY, AND THEY ARE SO UNCARING AND USELESS IT BOGGLED MY MIND! LIKE MANY HERE, I WAS COMPLETELY LIED TO.
