I found out about this site through a Google search and began calling the first handful of companies. While all seem to offer a refundable deposit, Angels and one other [can't recall which] offered to find a driver and approximate time frame BEFORE requiring a deposit.
My initial call was on a Tuesday afternoon. Angels located a driver by Wednesday morning who could pick up the car by that Friday! Within minutes of receiving my deposit, I received an e-mail with contact information for the transporter. I was able to speak with Howard and arrange details with him. Angels told him in advance that I wanted to pack a bicycle in the back seat. We also clarified what else should or could be packed in the passenger and trunk areas. [I recommend being up-front about your intentions about that].
I was mildly upset at some of the changes in logistics [pickup moved from late Friday afternoon to early Friday morning, but was notified Thursday about this] and the car not being dropped off at the residential destiination. From a subjective viewpoint, I'd like to take off a star for that. Yes, I had to extend my minivan rental and take a $20 cab ride to get my car. But, Angels (1) located a professional and experienced driver within a day; (2) who could pick up my car within a mile of my home in less than three days from my initial call; and (3) brought it within 15 miles of my destination by the following Monday; and (4) contacted me to assure that the car was in a secure lot when I arrrived several days later. After all, this is a car transport service, not an airport limo. Angels met its objectives professionally and well exceeded my expectations on promptness.
