We were nervous about the move, but all in all, I'd say it went okay. Dina at AMA was great, and I feel like we were told the truth as SHE knew it. Unfortunately, the actual carrier (Coast to Coast) was not as great. We were told the car would be picked up within 5 days, but it was picked up 3 days late. This date kept changing amidst much confusion on our part since we were getting calls from AMA, then the carrier office, then the driver of the carrier truck himself- all of which would tell us different things. After it was finally picked up (at 10pm at night, only thanks to our willing friend back in NC who went out to meet the driver since we were already in TX), the driver himself (Paul) gave us his cell # and told us the car would be there on a certain day. However, while we were in CA still en route, we got a call from Jamie at Coast to Coast informing us that the car would be there earlier and we needed to be there to pick it up and pay right then. She also said that it was impossible that we were told a different day, and did not believe us that we actually talked to HER driver. She got off the phone, I'm assuming to call the driver, then called us back and was a little nicer about it, and everything worked out since our friends were able to take care of it. I would have felt a little better had I heard from Dina during this time, since she'd given me her cell phone so we could call her. I placed two phone calls to her, leaving voice mails, but never heard back from her, nor was there ever any follow-up. I'm assuming that's because there was nothing she could do at that point. As I said in the beginning, everything worked out, but I would have felt a little better had the communication lines been more open.
