After researching and having had an excellent experience with a previous car transport company, I decided to try someone new ONLY because when I contacted Angels Moving Autos for a quote, Dina was TOP NOTCH.
Pros + / Cons -
+Excellent initial communication from Dina explaining step by step the process in which they book the transport company for me and why it's better. - Communication was less than satisfactory a few times. Communication was always kind just not always on time.
+Good standing with the BBB.
+Website. -Website contact form doesn't work.
+No pressure to book fast. (Other companies tried to pressure me by saying 'There's a driver in that area of pick up right now, you better book now'.)
+When I called back to book, Linda was helpful and took over right where Dina left my booking. Easy and fast.
+Final total was explained upfront. -After the vehicle was loaded I got a call saying my price was going to be more than quoted so I scrambled trying to figure out how I was going to come up with extra money to pay in a few days time (stressful).
+However, an hour before it was dropped off (a day early) I was told my total was the original price (RELIEF). Good thing I didn't have a money order made out! I had to rush to the bank to get to withdraw the cash that I planned on doing the next day (so I wasn't carrying around cash.)
+Angel's Moving Autos really had me interested in their neat feature of text messaging options for vehicle status 'along the journey of my vehicle'. Sounded awesome! I was text ONCE (from Sammy) stating that the vehicle was scheduled to be dropped off 'tomorrow' and that the driver would contact me with an ETA that evening for the next day. -An hour later I received a voice message from the driver that he was an hour away! Because the vehicle arrived early, I had to drop what I was doing (work) and rush to the bank and then frantically (try to finish) snow shoveling (by hand) the driveway to make room for the vehicle. I wish I would have known the driver was going to be a day early. Another con to this text messaging communication: -Vehicle was scheduled for a Friday which was confirmed via phone call but when the vehicle never got picked up, I was never contacted about it. My pick up location person waited for a pick up that never happened that day. The vehicle was picked up the next day. Still no communication from Angels Moving Autos as to the cancellation or being a late pick up. I only knew about the change from MY personal contact, not the company. The next form of communication was a call from Angel's stating that my price had gone up.
+++++Now about the driver, Vlad with AJ INTERNATIONAL INC. ( I will be posting a separate review on him to help his business!) This man is incredibly friendly, personable and a HARD worker! He went ABOVE and BEYOND his job. Due to the snow storm he helped me shovel out part of the driveway so the vehicle could be in a safe spot. He did not have to do that! Seriously impressed and so thankful for him!!!! :) It took a really long time to clear the area out, in the freezing cold. When I tried to offer him a hot drink or a monetary tip, he wouldn't take it. I insisted and he insisted back that it wasn't necessary. Good person.
- I have no idea where to place this negative comment about the damage to my vehicle. There is a considerable dent (a foot wide) in the front hood that I did not see until the morning because the vehicle was dropped off at night. I can't determine when it happened because on my pickup/delivery form it was not indicated that there was damage to the vehicle upon pick up. I also signed the delivery slip in the dark.
