I am retiring from the military after 20 years of service to our nation and decided to ship my car from California to North Carolina to avoid the long drive. I used Angels Moving Autos based on a recommendation from a coworker and because they were rated very high on this website. I took the time to read most all the reviews and was impressed with what I read. Below is a summary of my experience with Angels Moving Autos:
Pros: Great communication from start to finish. Vehicle was delivered very fast. I flew back on Wednesday, Feb. 27th; and the car arrived Thursday, Feb 28th!
Cons: Was disappointed upon delivery inspection of my vehicle. I found a spot on my driver's side car door where the truck driver had rubbed my door against the side of the trailer. Although the spot was small and repairable, I was still upset to see red paint on my silver car! It took a clever trick and elbow grease to remove the red paint but my original paint has two small chip marks remaining. Additionally, I was upset to find out from the transport carrier that the cost of my shipment could have been about $300 cheaper had I booked the shipment directly with them, vice going through Angels. You see, I inquired about a military discount with Angels and was told that they do not support or offer military discounts. However, when I checked with the transport company directly and on their website, they clearly state that they DO OFFER military discounts. Needless to say I was very upset and felt taken advantage of by Angels. I called to inquire with Angels about the military discount but received no help in resolving the discount. My suggestions for military members is to seek a broker that will offer a discount, otherwise; ship directly with the transport company.
