This Customer scheduled a last minute pick up and was guaranteed pick up within 1-2 days. As promised we had a trucker sent out to pick up vehicle within the next day but were not able to collect vehicle because the customer had not yet paid the seller of the vehicle whom we were picking up the car from. Therefore we had to abort the assignment and reschedule a second trucker to pick up again when car was paid for. Two days later all was clear to collect vehicle and trucker was sent and would be on the road first thing in the morning, unfortunately a severe storm came in( Hurricane Irene) knocking down wires, poles, and roads were closed down causing delay with the truckers departure. Road were not cleared in the area for almost a week. No trucks could get out nor get in and customer was advised of what was going on. Yes, every customer shipping a vehicle is given a estimated time frame after pick up of 4-6 days. We say estimated because there are sometimes but rarely circumstances such as this that can ocurr and cause delay of a car transport. If car had been ready as told initially, that vehicle would have been in FL in 4-6 days as told.
