Scheduled a shipment with American Auto Shipping to coincide with a military PCS a few weeks in advance for piece of mind. 2 days from the scheduled shipment (Thursday), I get a call saying it will be a day or two delayed (Saturday/Sunday). We were able to make saturday work with changes to my initial move plans, and past the date of my current lease, and canceling previously made appointments.
When I asked for a discount for this not being what I scheduled, and accommodating their change of schedule, I was essentially berated over the phone, talked over, with the exact same explanation every time saying I already signed the contract and I could cancel if I wanted to, just louder each time.
I lost two weeks of decision space of thinking I had this scheduled out to fit other commitments. Looking back, I wish I took some extra time to review other shipping options
