This transport was the most horrible experience I can recall in years. I was quoted $425.00 which was $50.00 over my original quote. My vehicle was delivered two days late. The company never contacted me to let me know that it would not be delivered on Friday and when I contacted Hurricane Transport they were rude and disrespectful and told me it was responsibility of American Transport to tell me my vehicle would not be delivered on the agreed upon and contracted date. I never received an apology from anyone about the delay of the vehicle being transported.
I asked if the vehicle could be delivered on a different date and was told no. There was absolutely no flexibility with Hurricane transport and they gave me the impression from the beginning that all they were concerned about is being paid.
I was left a voice message by Steve stating that I needed to "hold on" to my money until Monday and to make sure I paid the transport company. This was beyond offensive when no one called to inform me about or apologize about the delay of the delivery of my vehicle. The representative Mary from Hurricane transport was rude and disrespectful as well. I told her I would be available at 1:15pm and she advised me the driver was there waiting on me. I advised her before that I could not be there until 1:15-2:00 pm.
She left a message stating that she expected "trouble" from me and that I complained too much to her indicating that she thought I would not pay for the services rendered. I paid for the vehicle at about 1:23pm and the driver not the company apologized for any inconvenience. They could not wait 5-10 minutes on me to get to the other side of my workplace yet, I waited for them for 48 hours.
The customer service from beginning to end was non-existent with the exception of Brian who was the salesperson I originally dealt with and asked to only speak with due to the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the other staff at American Transport.
This entire experience has been a total nightmare. By the vehicle being late I did not have an opportunity to get to the emissions done and handle other registration business today. It was a great inconvenience because I needed to take care of this business over the weekend. I would not recommend that anyone use either one of these companies.
Please do your research a little further than I did. Please make sure that you ask about the reputation of the carriers for the trucks as well as the transport companies they contract with.
