The reason for my review was that I did not have an overall good experience as I have had in the past with Amerifrieght. On several occassions I attempted to contact my agent JJ regarding shipping my vechicle, and I was not able to get ahold of him. My last attempt was email, and I spent hours emailing him, and waiting on a response. I would have rather he call me himself, but this did not happen. It would have been benefical if I could have spoken to him regarding my move, rather than assume things that later was not true. The transporting of my vechicle took days. I expected for the truck to be picked up one or three days after I had made the arrangements and paid my money. However, this did not happen. After waiting for the 5 days to pass, I had to call into the call center to find out what was going on, and later I recieve an email saying that the company was going to add 50.00 to my order, which was suppose to entice a driver. However, this wasn't the case Amerifreight called me to add another 100.00 to what I was already paying them to move my truck. On the invoice that I recieved from Amerifreight there was no sign of them putting up additional 50.00, which made me feel scammed. The driver made jokes about taking my truck, and also he called me with only a few hours notice regarding picking up my truck. And being that I had already left the state of Michigan, I had to find someone last minute to help me out. I was told by Amerifreight that the driver was coming on a wednesday, and he in fact came on a Monday. This was such a headache because I had to practically beg a friend to leave work and come to my home last minute. This experience was my first and I dont anticipate having another problem like this in the near future. I believe that this was truly a once in a business lifetime that I will ever have this problem with Amerifrieght. I do use this company often, and I see myself using it in the future. Overall the company is a great company, it just isn't perfect which is to be expected.
