I chose AmeriFreight because of the commendable BBB and customer reviews.
After speaking to a few companies, I found AmeriFreight to be the most expensive of all choices. I wondered about this - but after research, felt the upfront expenses (versus other companies have lower costs with hidden fees and poor reviews) was worth it.
I spoke with Jonathan the first time I called. He was knowledgeable. When I called to confirm I was directed to Luke. I explained I had no problem paying the expedited fees (1 day or 2 day - either was fine as long as the car could get shipped right away). He kept speaking about the usual preferred shipping....I felt like I was trying to SELL HIM my business. It was a bit frustrating. Come to find out, Luke does not have as much experience with the expedited orders - maybe that is why he didn't talk about it.
Another thing that was annoying was the customer service. I think Luke was trying to be friendly but came across as disrespectful (note to seller: your funny jokes may not be funny to others - don't mock people's states). However, after he realized I found his attitude less than funny, Luke worked on a more professional level.
I had my car picked up today at 5 p.m. - and that was the agreement. Luke and I spoke today and he was much more professional - I appreciated that. Overall, I give AmeriFreight an adequate rating. I felt I had to do a lot of the touching base (versus them being more pro-active at calling / contacting me) - but would use them again in the future.
