Do NOT use this company unless you want to wait a long time for your car to be picked up.

I recently had my car shipped and let me tell you, I will NEVER use them again. They were very friendly on the phone but when it came time to coming through with there pick up dates, boy were they off. I was told 3 days and it took 12! I called every couple days to follow up and they continued to tell me another day and you'll have your pick up. LIES!

I feel I must add that my expereince has nothing to do with the carrier. My driver was actually very very friendly and polite. He got my vehicle shipped in the time he stated. This review is for amerifreight NOT the carrier!

Remember that there are two types of transporting companies....brokers and carriers. This is a broker. Which means they are the middle man taking a commission from your sale THEN putting your name on a list so that drivers can choose what to pick up. So let's say you paid $1000 to ship your car through these guys, they'll take $185 leaving only $825 for the driver. As opposed to going through a carrier directly and giving the driver the full $1000, which results in quicker pick up times.

I'm sure you came across numerous excellent reviews on this company. The reason for this is simple, they pay for their reviews. I have been getting daily emails stating that if I leave an "excellent" review, my account will be credited once it posts. Bribery you may ask? They get around this apparently because it's stated that I get paid not for the review but for their appreciation as having me as their customer. HA!

I now completely understand how your company received such high reviews.

This customer chose the Economy rate, which does not offer a guaranteed pickup or delivery timeframe. Most customers who ship at the Economy rate are picked up within 3-5 days; however, it can take longer. It is designed for those who are not working with any time constraints and want to save some money. As stated by our Shipping Agents and on our website, if for any reason a vehicle at the Economy rate is not picked up within 5 days, AmeriFreight adds $50 to help provide incentive to get it moved. The customer must be prepared to add money to the driver's pay as well or to continue to wait. We are glad to hear the customer was pleased with the carrier. Yes, AmeriFreight is a broker. We work to screen carriers in order to be sure they are fully insured, licensed.We choose only top rated carriers that offer excellent service. As for reviews, we do not pay for reviews. Customers can leave a review with any rating they choose. We only ask that our office be notified of the reason for less than excellent review. As with any rebate, if the instructions are not followed, the rebate is forfeited. Should a customer, such as this customer, notify our office before posting the review, we will make note that the customer qualifies for the rebate, despite the rating of review they leave. We want an opportunity to talk with every customer that was not satisfied, so that we can better improve our services.
