The folks at AmeriFreight were top-notch in getting this shipment done as quickly as possible. The carrier that took the job was DNA Transport. Really great company - driver was very friendly and helpful. All in all a very pleasant experience. I bought this Jeep off of Ebay and was going to use DAS auto shippers as that is who ebay steers you to. I talked to Brad at DAS and he quoted me $2400. I then asked Brad if it would be possible to pick the jeep up at a terminal to lower the cost. My tone was certainly not confrontational or snotty ... just a simple question to a cusomter service rep. In all truthfullness, Brad's response was "no, many of the vehicles we ship sit on our transport lots for WEEKS waiting to be picked up. Since yours is a convertible it would get exposed to the elements or stuff would come missing from it. Then people like YOU would try to sue us for this - but they always lose." I sat there in stunned silence after Brad's diatribe against me for a few seconds before telling him no thanks. After talking to Brad - I looked up some of DAS reviews and realized their customer service and operations department must be trained in the Daffy Duck school of management. Anyhow, thank you Brad at DAS your snotty and snarky comments saved me $1300 and steered me in the direction of a great broker and kick butt transporter.
