Amerifreight is legitimate- Shipped vehicle from OH to WA, and the agent Nicole was awesome. Pickup occurred within 2 days and shipping arrived a day early. Constant communication and support from Amerifreight. I was nervous selecting a company due to all the scary stories online and sham companies, but these guys explain everything and do their best within their limits to work with each unique set of circumstances that each customer is bound to have. They do their best to weed out the unsavory transport companies, and rate each one on customer satisfaction so chances are you will get good service. I have a couple of pointers:
1. GET AT LEAST THE STANDARD INSURANCE, $78.00. The critical advantage here is that this gives you peace of mind and an additional 48 hour window to discover any unlikely damage you might not see if the vehicle arrives dirty due to road grime (open transport). This way you can clean the vehicle and inspect it post delivery, although you still need to do your best to detect any significant damage upon receipt with the transport/trucking company/driver.
2. BE THOROUGH IN YOUR BILL OF LADING DESCRIPTION OF DAMAGE during pickup. This keeps everyone honest; like the website says, plenty of photos and videos upon shipping and receipt are helpful.
3. BE POLITE AND COURTEOUS WITH YOUR AGENT. They are your advocate. Clearly explain your specific concerns and issues and they will give you your options!
I had a good experience and the truck driver was considerate and careful. I would use this company again!
