I had to ship my car across the country - something I have never, ever done before. I thought it was going to be a really tedious and stressful process, but Amerifreight and Samantha Smith, specifically, made the entire process quite simple and easy.
Amerifreight is amazing at communication. I received a call 24 hours in advance and also 30 minutes before pick up on the day of (just as they promised), and 24 hours in advance and also 30 minutes before drop off (just as they promised). The only minor hiccup that I ever encountered was that they called my mother first before calling me regarding the drop off date - I think they just had both numbers on file. However, after I informed them of this, they only called me moving forward.
My car was picked up at its assigned time. My car shipment was delayed by a day, BUT Amerifreight notified me in advance so it wasn’t an issue whatsoever. The cause of the delay was outside of anyone’s control — the drivers car broke down! Poor guy. Once it arrived, it was just as I had shipped it off - I didn’t notice any sort of damages. It was dirty on the outside, but that’s expected since it was a cross country drive.
As for the paperwork? Well, there really wasn’t much! Everything is online! Just make sure you read everything and ask ALL clarifying questions. I had a TON of questions and called and emailed Samantha SEVERAL times, and she answered each and every one of them promptly.
I will DEFINITELY be using Amerifreight when I have to ship my car again!
