AmeriFreight was hour broker and did an excellent job emailing all the information (considerable) and paperwork we needed to make this chore as painless as possible. Once we selected our transporter, Samantha took the time to check in with me regularly along the way to see how things were going. The transport itself was done by two very affable fellows, and in near-record time! No problems at either end. What you should know: the initial quote you receive from AmeriFreight is a starting point, a "might happen," and doesn't necessarily represent how much the bids will come in at (which depends on time of year, whether you hit it right with someone traveling the route you need, etc.) So the estimate is just a very rough estimate; our actual cost was considerably higher. If you're looking for absolute rock-bottom prices and are willing to find a transporter yourself, plus deal with all the back-and-forth emails, phone calls, insurance, etc., then perhaps you'd do better on your own. But we absolutely appreciated the customer service from AmeriFreight, and felt it was worth paying a price that was higher than initially expected.
