My story started with a different transport company on November 2, 2017 and ended with AmeriFreight on January 22, 2018. The other company was chosen and process started on November 2nd. Pickup of my son's 98 Ford Escort was scheduled for January 2nd. He was relocating to California and needed his car there by January 8th as he was starting a new job. The other company assured us that everything would be fine, no worries. Well, January 2nd came and went: no pickup. When we called the company we got the answer, "As soon as we secure a carrier we will call you." For the next week everyday, sometimes with as many as a half dozen calls a day by me ( i never received a call back) I heard the same answer, "As soon as we secure a carrier we will call you." If I pressed the issue I got excuses like, "The weather has been bad." or "We just came out of a holiday." I have never ventured into this service before, but not expressing any empathy or regrets or urgency to fulfill their end of the contract made our entire family grow more anxious and angry as each day passed. Finally on January 12th, 10 days after I had scheduled pickup for my son's car I had had enough. I cancelled the order and the other company could care less. Luckily Danielle and AmeriFreight were there for me. In what seemed like only a matter of minutes I had my order placed with her. Danielle explained that she is off on that weekend but come Monday morning she will begin working the carriers for me. At 10 o'clock AM Monday morning on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Danielle called me and said I have secured a carrier for you. I asked, "What day will they be picking the car up?" "Today, it is usually a 4 hour window, but your car will be picked up today." Yes! A week later and despite a little bump in the road at the delivery destination (which Danielle fixed quickly) my son's car was delivered in perfect condition in one week. I would recommend AmeriFreight and Danielle Roth to anyone who has to transport a car.
